The Wisconsin Music and Media Coalition is a volunteer collaboration comprised of local websites, writers, disc jockeys, bands and publications. It's primary focus is to improve the local music scene and benefit the community. The WMMC has already shown it's ability to benefit the community with it's Rock for Salvation Project, a benefit for the local Salvation Army Food Pantry, raising more than 700.00 worth of food and donations. Cringe and Led Devil both donated their performances for the purpose of this show.  A future showcase is currently being discussed regarding a benefit in Steven's Point for a The Salvation Army there.par
ab The WMMC was founded in the early spring of 2004 by Todd Jaymz of WWSP in Steven's Point and Tim Pickett of X-Press Magazine. Meetings are held in and open to the public, check www.rockwausau.com or rockbands.iwarp.com for updates on the next meeting. Many individuals have come forward and attended the meetings, including several bands, all of which have similar goals; establishing working relationships with the areas venues and providing quality collaborations for the benefit of the community.
Currently there are nearly twenty individuals regularly attending the monthly meetings, however the meetings are open to the public and all are welcome. The foundation of this organization is supported by the Todd Jaymz of WWSP, Black Bart of WKQH, Everyone from WMZK, Tim, Devlin and Joe (the monkey cam operator) from  X-Press Magazine,  Jason Mansavage of Maximum Ink, Tina from rockbands.iwarp.com, Crystal of rockwausau.com,  x-pressmag.com,  Slick, jIMMY, Newman of X-Press and City Pages and other dark places, Phoenix, Cruise In of Wausau, Fillie's Bar in Steven's Point,  and I'm sure I missed a few (my apologies) and the list grows with each month. Keep an eye on the websites mentioned above for updates on upcoming meetings and if you are interested please attend one in the near future.
